The year is 1994, and for the first time in ages, the Triwizard Tournament is occurring. Hogwarts has been chosen to host this momentous event, much to the delight of its students. Unfortunately, due to previous injuries and deaths, only those of age may submit their name to the Goblet of Fire, vastly reducing the number of students who are able. That doesn't mean that younger students can't try. Also doesn't mean that they'll succeed. What does the Triwizard Tournament have in store for the schools of Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons? Who will be chosen to participate, and most importantly, will they all come out in one piece?

George had his hands in his pockets casually. He jingled the small amount of coins within it. Although not much, he knew it was more money than his brother Ron had to spend, and that alone put a smile on the boy's face. He and Fred managed to make a small fortune during the last school year - their profit margin was larger than they ever had in any other school year. This would be the first year he could buy all his supplies on his own, and there was a pride in that. He hardly knew where to go first. George knew he'd have to waste a good chunk of it, and probably spend a bit on Ginny so she wouldn't be teased for all her second hand items. Perhaps she'd like some clothes - girls liked that sort of thing, didn't they? But what size was that little twerp? He shook his head. Maybe he'd pick her up some school books or something. Something a lot simpler. Besides, he doubted she wanted the striped parachute pants that had caught his eye in a shop window as he passed, and that was the exact sort of thing he'd get her. As much as he'd try to not get her teased, his natural instinct was to do something embarrassing for her.
Just as he went to go into one shop, his eyes met a Slytherin boy's who he and Fred had absolutely mortified at the end of the last school year. The green pimples on his face told George immediately that the boy and his family hadn't been able to figure out a way to remove them... and neither had Fred and George. They had actually abandoned that particular product. After all, it was supposed to turn hair green, not create green pimples.
"You've got something on your face, right... there," George said unnecessarily as he prodded the boy's face. The boy scowled and George took off running, his laughter trailing his quick legs. One didn't become a well known prankster at school by getting caught, and to not get caught, one had to keep up on their cardio.
George moved through the crowd easily. He wasn't sure where his destination was, but he had to make sure that the boy could no longer spot his flaming red hair. He spotted an opening in the crowd and turned to go to it, not paying enough attention to the people surrounding him. His foot caught around someone's leg and he tripped rather dramatically, arms flailing and all. He stumbled, but didn't fall, but in the process managed to knock over quite a few disgruntled shoppers.

Ugh, back to school shopping sucked at times. Usually she would find it fun getting to go out and buy some new things, but not school supplies. Sure she liked school and she was even good at it. But having to spend money on things that she would realistically only use for that year bothered her. if she was going to go out and spend money on something she wanted to be able to use it for more than once a year. It was the reason why she spent money on Quidditch things, if you took care of them they lasted a while and you were able to get a good amount of use out of them before they finally decided to give up on life.
Speaking of Quidditch things, it was actually the store she was currently browsing. She didn’t really need anything new this year just having got new things last year, but she loved looking around the store and the smell of the shop was something that she lived for. Sure it was weird that she liked the smell, but there was just something about new brooms, and broom polish and leather that just made her so happy. It was one of the things that had been a deciding factor in her try out for the Quidditch team when she was a second year. She knew that if she liked this shop so much she would have no problem with the sport, and so far she was right.
She could spend forever in the shop if she wanted to, but her mother was giving her the look to hurry up and get out. She just didn’t seem to understand how Katie could love something that could kill her in her mind. But Katie didn’t care. She took a little bit more time to take in the smell and new items in the shop, making a mental list of things she might want for Christmas this year, before walking out of the door and back into the chaos that was Diagon Alley.
She didn’t make it very far from the shop when she felt someone run into her, catching their foot on her leg. She turned to see who it was and laughed when she saw George flailing around trying not to fall. ”Okay I give that an eight out of ten. It was a pretty good save on your part.” She said through her laughter. Only one of the twins would be able to trip and not fall on the ground.
TAG;@george NOTES; hope you don't mind me jumping in. and sorry if it is a little confusing.
